So there was a reason I hadn't posted much about the new truck.

She was kinda fugly.

Kinja'd!!!

But I could see the potential...

Kinja'd!!!

All the marker lights are smoked, tails are smoke but super bright LED. Runner bars and push bar yet to be installed. Factory fog lights going back in once I get the bumper off. Needs some bigger tires and she’ll be set.

Kinja'd!!! Kinja'd!!!

3rd brake light is getting swapped and pin striping is going. What's Oppo think- keep the exhaust pipe and give it a shine or go black?

Get rid of the tip, run full 4" turbo back with no tip.

IMO the bigger exhaust without a gaudy tip is a simple look that doesn’t detract from the truck.

Honestly, I’d get rid of the tails and go back to stock, but I prefer my Super Dutys to look stock.

Nice looking truck regardless. ;)

Its got a 4 inch to a can muffler, no cats. I do like the idea of just doing a dump after the rear axle.

Mine was a crew cab long bed, but I had 4" from the DP back with no muffler, dumping in front of the rear tire. It was a perfect mix of sound without being obnoxious.

K eeping a stock offset rims with those fender flares would be a crime, but I see the vision.

I wouldn’t go with a tip, but if you do go black.

Those fender flares with the stock wheels and tires.

My friend has a 2WD Crew Cab with the same flares and I will never understand why someone would put those on a stock truck.

Give it a shine. Add a small Carli kit, 35” and some nicer wheels. Done.

All it needs is Truck Nutz, some pink Car Lashes and matching pink mirrors...

At least they look better than the current gen trucks with their fat noses.

Needs 35" or so tires.

Skip the coffee can exhaust tip, make it look stock-ish.

Get rid of the fender flairs for smooth ones (no exposed fasteners!).

Since it’s not my $$$, get rid of the fixed side steps & replace with the auto up/down ones. Looks better when they’re up, and easier to use when they’re down.

I dig the grille. Where did you get it?

I’ll be doing harley style lights too, eventually.  And upgrading to 2008 mirrors was the best money I spent.

Also the Harley Headlights *do* require a good bit of cutting to make fit (plastic headlight surround). A good Dremel and the reinforced cutting disk made it cut like buttery. 100% breather, safety glasses, leaf blower (for easy clean up)

The flares will probably go. The fasteners are fake thankfully. I’ll go slim line for the next year or so until it’s time to buy tires. These have a lot of tread so it would be a waste. I wonder if I hit the flares  with some black paint it they wouldn’t look so bad?

Also have a leveling kit in the garage which is designed for 34's. I was getting visibly irate jumping in and out of the big lifted trucks (6 inch lift on 37s and I'm 6'). This is technically after all supposed to be my Home Depot home-improvement truck

Thanks!

And y eah, I know that the header panels need to be trimmed for the headlights . Will be worth it imo.

The first one took a while. The second light was just a few minutes. Cut it out in chunks rather than just one big piece. The factor side marker bulb holder is the right type, but doesn't fit the healights assembly so you'll want a t10 socket and pigtail.
